Summer has been busy around our house, and I’m already well aware of the fact that we are not going to accomplish half of what I had planned for these couple of months before the new school year envelops us. Despite that, I am always finding new things to add to the list – usually more than what I have crossed off the list so far!
I’m always on the lookout for what might interest the GT families of our community. Here are a few resources I’ve collected in the past week that you might want to try:
- 2 free (not sure for how long, so snap them up soon!) apps for the iPad – “Barefoot World Atlas” and “Weird But Real Animals“
- Google Plus Maker Camp (it’s meant for teens, but I already see several projects that would be fun to do as parent/child teams)
- “How to Have a Healthy, Brainy, and Fun Summer”
- “Camp Virtual” from Commonsense Media
- Is your child a budding photographer? You might want to check out National Geographic’s “My Shot” site, where you can give your child permission to upload photographs and share his or her love of photography with others. Here is the FAQ page.
- And, if you are looking for a unique centerpiece for your summer party that you can make with your child, check out the link underneath the picture below!
