Mrs. Roeber's Musical Lions

Plans are underway for our first-annual Kindergarten completion ceremony!  Please join us on June 5th at 8:30am for this exciting event!

Kinder Lions,
Sing and dance along with these videos to prepare for our special celebration on June 5th!
Have fun!
~Mrs. Roeber

We had fun using the Music Ace Doodle Pad to create class compositions!  Each student composer selected an instrument sound and we synergized to create a class song!

On May 14th, the Las Lomas Honor Choir performed a special preview of our Austin program on the patio at OrderUp.  The kids did a great job, and we can’t wait for our next performances- we will sing for the school on Friday and in the State Capitol Rotunda next Tuesday!

Students explored non-pitched percussion instruments and composed songs with their partner. We had so much fun performing them for our friends!

Our Music Express magazine for March/April 2013 included an article, song, and choreography for “Arirang”, a Korean folk song. We enjoyed learning about the instruments and culture of Korea!  Arirang means “beautiful one” and Arariyo means “I will miss you”.

We had a blast celebrating Earth Day in music class today!  We sang “Let It Grow” from The Lorax and brainstormed ways we can make a difference. I love the line of the song that says “Live your life, be true and never be afraid to grow!” Even a small change can make a huge impact!
