7th Period ACL Non-Fiction Prompts Mud, Sweat, and Tears by Bear Grylls

Hey guys!
I am currently reading the book, Mud, Sweat, and Tears by Bear Grylls (Yes from Man vs. Wild). The book is an auto-biography about about Bear Grylls and how he got to starting the show. It takes you through his childhood, how he met his wife, and through the military where he learned how to survive in the wild. The book tells of his legacy and how he learned it.
Something that interests me about the topic is that I had always watched his show Man vs Wild, but I had never really understood what he went through to get there. In the show he had mentioned that he had training from the military, but the events leading up to show were completely oblivious to me, until I read the book. I think it’s just awesome to get an inside look on his life, and get to see what really made him, him.
Thanks for reading!!!

Where did the man vs. wild guy get his idea of surviving out in the wild by himself?

He learned to survive in the Army where they all had to prepared for the worst, and he felt that others could use that information + he needed an income after he left the Army so it all pieced together.
