5th Period ACL: Making Connections-The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch

Dear Class,
The book, The Eleventh Plague, by Jeff Hirsch, is fiction book about a post apocalyptic world that a boy and his dad have to survive in. They have to face the horrible people in the post apocalyptic world until they run into a place where it ensures their safety. Before they get there the boys dad get a head injury and goes into a coma. When he joins the town that is safe, he is treated differently than every one else. The other boys make fun of him and he can’t even go to his father for help.
I can live differently after reading this book because I can remember the struggle he had to fit in with the new town and their people.  I can remember what he had to go through with all this hardship even when his father was in a coma, and I can help the new kids to fit in. Am I not letting the new kids fit in enough? It is important to remember to always help the new kids fit in because I don’t know where they are going through and I am pretty sure helping them fit in will improve their life.
Thanks for reading,
Jordan D
