5th Period ACL :Making Connections: Ranger’s Apprentice The Burning Bridge by John Flanagan

Dear class,

This blog is about The Burning Bridge, book two of the Ranger’s Apprentice  series (I will try to avoid spoilers). In this one, Will, Horace, and Gillan (a former Ranger’s Apprentice) are traveling to Celtica. on their way, they find hastily deserted villages.

“Look at all of this-the food on the table, the open closets, the clothes scattered on the floor. When people close down a post like this, they clean up and take their belongings with them.”

This reminds me of the redwall series, where when someplace has been hastily deserted, something bad has happened. A good example of this would be Loamhedge. Loamhedge is an abbey that had gotten a plague, the survivors swiftly abandoned the abbey taking only what they valued most and leaving everything else behind. This leaves me to believe that if an area is rapidly abandoned, something bad has happened.Maybe I can apply this idea in real life (like if a city gets infected with a disease that can’t be cured)

Thanks for reading this post
