7th Period Open Ended Prompts The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Hello Class,
I am currently reading The Fault In our Stars by John Green. This book is about a teenage girl named Hazel Grace and she has cancer. She meets a boy who also has cancer and his name is Augustus Waters & and they fall in love and the sory is mainly about their love and their lives together.
I think the genre of this book is realist fiction. Realistic fiction books aren’t true but could actually happen in real life and nothing in them sounds so fake. This book is more of a love story between two cancer fighters which could actually happen in real life. In real life, loving one another would not be something fake, it can happen anytime. I usually am not a big fan of books that their main characters have cancer but this book really caught my attention and was a perfect love story.
Thank for reading,
PaolaP

Hi Paola – I really enjoy reading John Green’s books. Did you see the movie? If you did, how does it compare to the book? Have you read other John Green books? What other books would you recommend that remind you of this one?

    Hi Mrs. Hirst!

i did see the movie and i actually thought it was really good because it did follow the book unlike divergent! I have read several books by John Green like Looking For Alaska, Paper Towns and at this moment i am currently reading An Abundance of Katherine’s. I read Eleanor and Park last summer which kind of reminded me of The Fault In Our Stars because they were both very good love stories.
