Non-Fiction Post Example

Hello Class,
I recently read the book Phineas Gage: A Gruesome but True Story About Brain Science for my non-fiction requirement for Project 20.  This book was about a man named Phineas who worked on the railroad.  When blasting the area to lay new track, a 13 pound rod flew threw his head.  He lived for 11 years after this with no real problems, except for changes in his personality.  He didn’t have any type of physical repercussions.
Something that interests me about this topic is why the brain can recover from some injuries and not others.  There are so many parts of our brains that are “not used” according to this book.  I think it is crazy that he can recover from this physically, but become such a different personality.  He went from nice and caring to mean and crass.
Sincerely,
Student X
