About

DIY BoardWelcome to our blog!  We are students in grades K-5 (ages 6 to 11) attending classes weekly with Mrs. Lasher at Cibolo Green Elementary in San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A. We LOVE comments and posts from other lifelong learners- parents, students, and teachers! We also invite guest bloggers!

On our class blog, you will find posts about things we are learning, most written by the students. If you are interested in learning more about what we’re up to in class, click on the GRADE LEVEL NEWS (above). A few of us also have our own student blogs (see sidebar). Thank you for visiting our blog(s)!

  1. Hello my friends from Texas

Your website is really cool I can’t wait to see more of it. It looks like you guys have a lot of cool things over there in Texas just like here in Virginia. What do you guys learn over there we learn all about what happened here in Virginia. It sounds like you have tons of fun over there what do you guys do? Do you guys know how to add and subtract decimals because we do.
What have you guys learned in your subjects? Oops sorry gotta go!

  2. Good morning Mrs. Lasher’s Texan Learners!

I have enjoyed learning about your class, and I can’t wait to share all about you with my class. I’m following your teacher on Twitter, so I’ll keep a check on your class as she tweets about the many cool things you’re learning and doing. I hope you had a SUPER weekend, and happy learning this week!

  5. Hi Mrs. Lasher and students of Cibolo Green Elementary School!
We’re so excited that we could connect with you. Our Kindergarten to Grade 8 school is in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The first class to share their learning with you is a terrific grade 4/5 class taught by Ms. Stanfield. I’ll be popping in every so often to see what you’re up to, but most of the posts will be from Ms. Stanfield’s students. I’m sure they have a number of questions for you. Looking forward to learning with you.
    Mr. Walker

    • Hello, Mr. Walker!
Thanks for letting us know that we can look forward to hearing from Canadian students at your school! My students love to answer questions, and they will enjoy learning about life in Canada as well.

    • Mr. Walker, you can tell Ms. Stanfield that if her students click on 4th and 5th grade categories (right-hand column of the blog- not the top tabs), they will see posts written by students their age.

  6. What a nice welcoming paragraph. We love your blog! Sorry you haven’t seen ours yet, we hope you get to see it soon. We are learning about The U.S.A this year and we’re hoping you will be able to tell us what it’s like to live there. We’ve just received a letter from NASA and we’re applying to be astronauts!
