I am so excited to take on this adventure of creating a new school with you all!  We are going to work hard this year to create a fabulous school that is going to thrive for years to come!  I have been teaching for 15 years and this will be my first time to open a new school, but it is something that I have always wanted to do.  I think the idea of creating a “classroom of the future” is a huge challenge that is so exciting  to take on!

A little about me:

I am married to Brent, and mother of two, Juliana and Brennan.  They keep me busy with all their activities.  My daugher sings and dances with Center Stage, and plays volleyball, and my son is busy with flag football and boy scouts.  I love being a mom, and cheering for my kids!

I’ve taught 2nd – 5th grades and 5th is by far my favorite because I am a Science NUT!!  LOVE IT!   I’ve taught in Beaumont, Texas as well as here in San Antonio over the last 15 years, but I am from a small town in Louisiana.  My hometown is the town in the movieSteel Magnolias.  I attended Northwestern State University there, in Natchitoches, where I grew up. 

Teaching is my passion, and I love to find new and creative ways to teach the same objectives and lessons.  I love making connections with my students and working in an environment that where all feel successful!   I look forward to meeting my new class and their families this Monday.
