Toothpaste Teamwork!

Mrs. Bright gave us a challenge to get as much toothpaste out of a tube as possible. It was hard and we made a mess; but it was fun and we did a good job! Mrs. Bright surprised us when she said, “Now try to get as much toothpaste back in the tube as possible.” That was even harder!

When we were done Mrs. Bright asked us, “How are your words like the toothpaste in the tube?” It didn’t take us long to figure it out. When you say mean or ugly things it’s very difficult to get them back. The damage is done. We talked about self-discipline with our words and actions, and we talked about saying sorry. This was a fun way to learn a lesson!

Did your class do any fun virtue lessons this year? Tell us about them!

What a great activity. It really showed the students how you cannot take your words back once spoken. Great analogy. What a fun class!

Kia Ora,

I really like the learning in this activity and the means to engage the students.

When required I will certainly try this!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Kia Ora! What a terrific greeting! Thank you for visiting our blog and leaving a kind comment. We found New Zealand’s flag on our flag counter and found it on the map. We will take a look at your class blog to see all the great things you are doing together at school.
